you fancy learning to play the Harp?
What is the Rainbow Harp Project?
Liz is starting a new project scheduled to begin around Easter 2008.
She has a set of 6 lap harps (Harpsicles) in
the colours of
the rainbow, with cases and stands and method books. She will
hire out the harps to six individuals for 8 weeks, and meet with
everyone once a week for eight weeks to teach them the basic steps in
starting the harp .... assisted by a video.
The
final meeting will constitute a little concert to show what progress
has been made.
Both adults and children are
welcome.
(The principles of playing the harp are the same
whatever the size of the harp. It is usual to start
playing on a lever harp before investing in all the expense of a
fullscale pedal harp.)
